Join our Technical Support team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute to groundbreaking scientific research and innovation. As a Technical Support Specialist III, you'll provide expert-level support for our Gas Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry product line (GIRMS), including Delta Q, 253 Plus, Orbitrap Isora/Isora Pro mass spectrometers and peripherals. You'll collaborate with customers and Field Service Engineers worldwide to optimize their analytical capabilities while utilizing remote diagnostic technologies and building strong relationships across teams.
A Day in the Life:
Provide expert technical support for Thermo Fisher Scientific Gas Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry products, working closely with customers, Field Service Engineers, and internal factory departments to resolve technical issues, support installations and maintenance, deliver training, and drive continuous product quality improvements.

A Day in the Life:
Provide expert technical support for Thermo Fisher Scientific Gas Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry products, working closely with customers, Field Service Engineers, and internal factory departments to resolve technical issues, support installations and maintenance, deliver training, and drive continuous product quality improvements.
What to expect:
- Resolve and monitor technical problems of Thermo Fisher Scientific Gas Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry product line (GIRMS) including Delta Q, Orbitrap Isora/Isora Pro mass spectrometers
- Provide support to Service Engineers during installations, repairs, and maintenance
- Collaborate closely with the Field Service Organization in various aspects
- Support software updates globally
- Train Field Service Engineers, including preparing training courses and materials, and conducting training sessions
- Create, update, and distribute Factory Communication documents on the Factory Product Support website
- Report problems from the field to relevant departments of the factory (Quality, R&D, Parts & Repair) to drive quality improvements and contribute to finding solutions and implementing them in the field
Education
- Professional background with a graduate-level qualification or equivalent vocational experience in Electronics, Science, and/or Physics; an electronic engineering degree is a clear advantage.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic systems is a clear advantage
- Technical experience with Thermo Fisher Scientific Orbitrap and GIRMS Mass Spectrometers is an advantage
- Experience in providing trainings or workshops is an advantage
- Customer-focused with a strong commercial understanding
- Proactive and organized, with a keen interest in self-education and systematic work
- Ability to quickly understand problems and work systematically towards solutions
- Good understanding and experience with Microsoft Office Applications
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with sophisticated scientific equipment and software
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of time
