Spacecraft Database Engineer Software (m/f/d)
To operate our satellites, a lot of information is needed on ground (e.g. how to command the satellites or how to interpret the data coming from the satellite during integration & flight). The database team develops and maintains the satellite reference database (SRDB) and manages its data
Being a part of the team allows to you to get a thorough understanding of the architecture, interfaces, and operations of our spacecrafts.
Your Tasks
- Collaborate with the
different engineering teams and customers to organize, collect, and
process the commanding, telemetry and engineering data for the satellite - Manage the release
process of our products - Support the
improvement and development of our software tools and engineering
workflows - Plan and schedule
product releases according to stakeholder agreements - Participate in
official project reviews with ESA and customers - Create and maintain
the documentation of our database products - Assist the satellite
and operations teams using the SRDB and its products - Populate the SRDB
with the collected data - Track the validation
of database products and outputs
Your Qualifications
- You have a degree in
Computer Science, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable
qualification - Experience in a
similar role is an advantage - You are familiar
with SQL, PL/SQL, Java, or similar technologies - Knowledge of the
relevant ECSS standards is an advantage - You are a fast
learner with a good technical understanding - You are fluent in
written and spoken English - You have good
communication and negotiation skills - You work
proactively, accurately, and independently
