Tasks

• Identification, management and enforcement of claims (in both directions) in cooperation with project management, purchasing and the technical departments, in particular documentation and processing of claims in accordance with the contractual framework, following the legal decision by the Legal department and other departments
• Written assertion of claim issues
• Supporting project management and the specialised technical departments in relevant contractual issues (as early as the offer phase)
• Implementation of preventive measures during contract initiation and drafting to avoid future claims
• Technical preparation and assessment (legally robust presentation) of defects and preparation of overviews, including comparison of target and actual status and cost estimates for individual claims
• Analysing and evaluating the previously prepared analyses and assessments, including identifying and assessing risks in coordination with project management
• Preparation and attendance of meetings with contractual partners
• Management and implementation of optimisation measures within the scope of projects as support for project management (PM)
• Realisation of claim management trainings
• Creation of decision templates and presentations of implementation-related risks
• Coordination of all departments involved in CM
• Supporting the entire organisation with regard to claim-relevant contractual issues within and outside the project business
• Preparation and management of claim-relevant meetings with contractual partners
  
  

Requirements

• Successfully completed studies in law or industrial engineering or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in a comparable area of responsibility and in the handling of complex project contracts, ideally in the defence industry
• Business management and high level of legal/contractual understanding, technical affinity as well as project and process management experience
• Business fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
• Structured, independent and diligent way of working
• Good communication skills, willingness to travel worldwide
