Job Description:

Our Client is looking for a experienced Lead Avionics Engineer to join their team within the space sector. As the Lead Avionics Engineer, you will be instrumental in spearheading the design and development of cutting-edge Avionics architecture for space missions. Your key responsibilities will include:

• 
  Taking the lead in designing the Avionics architecture for space missions
  
• 
  Defining and crafting the Avionics Architecture, encompassing initial sizing, trade-offs, Interface Budgets, and Hardware performances tailored for space applications
  
• 
  Overseeing the avionics subsystems during detailed design and testing phases as the designated design authority
  
• 
  Managing interface control on a physical level and across the protocol stack in the context of space missions
  
• 
  Implementing development risk management strategies and ensuring effective mitigation
  
• 
  Planning and overseeing test activities to guarantee mission success
  
• 
  Efficiently resolving non-conformances to maintain project integrity
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possession of a degree in engineering with a specialisation in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a related field
  
• 
  Professional experience in the space avionics domain
  
• 
  Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams across multiple domains
  
• 
  Proven track record in hardware projects within the phases B/C/D specific to avionics systems for space applications
  
• 
  Strong ability to deliver project outcomes within specified time-lines and budget constraints
  
• 
  Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and the capacity to work autonomously
  
• 
  Proficiency in spoken and written English. Proficiency in German is a plus
