From day one, it has been part of our philosophy to provide our tankers with all-round support as a "genuine" shipping company. Construction supervision, manning, chartering, operations, accounting, financing, IT, payment transactions, insurance, supply of supplies and spare parts, maintenance and inspections as well as the constant monitoring and improvement of all quality and safety standards were and are managed centrally from Eduard-Schopf-Allee in Bremen

Technical and Nautical Junior Superintendent (m/f/d)

to join our team

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Technical Support:
  

• 
  Provide technical support to vessels, including troubleshooting equipment failures and system malfunctions
  
• 
  Assist in developing and implementing maintenance plans and procedures
  

• 
  Monitor vessel performance and identify areas for improvement
  

• 
  Regulatory Compliance:
  

• 
  Stay updated on international maritime regulations and ensure vessel compliance
  
• 
  Assist in preparing and submitting statutory documentation
  

• 
  Coordinate with classification societies and flag state authorities
  

• 
  Newbuilding Supervision:
  

• 
  Participate in newbuilding supervision activities, including shipyard inspections and acceptance trials
  

• 
  Budgeting and Cost Control:
  

• 
  Assist in developing and managing budgets for vessel repairs and maintenance
  

• 
  Monitor expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities
  

• 
  General Assistance:
  

• 
  Assisting with project management and coordination
  
• 
  Preparing reports and presentations
  
• 
  Managing and maintaining technical documentation
  

• 
  Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  

• 
  Drydocking:
  

• 
  Assisting in preparing the vessels
  
• 
  Developing scopes of work
  
• 
  Coordinating with shipyard and contractors
  
• 
  Overseeing the execution of repair and maintenance works
  
• 
  Ensuring timely completion of drydocking projects
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering or Naval Architecture
  
• 
  Strong technical knowledge of marine engineering systems, including propulsion, electrical, and auxiliary systems
  
• 
  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
• 
  Proficiency in relevant software applications
  
• 
  Experience in a shipping company or classification society is preferred
